Opposition Leader scoffs at Government's economic management

Opposition Leader Mark Golding has criticised the Government over its handling of the economy.

In his contribution in the Budget Debate in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Mr Golding said the achievements being touted by the Andrew Holness Administration did not constitute real forward movements.

He said the country's rate of recovery from the COVID-19 fallout was slower than several other countries within the region.

Mr Golding contends that Jamaica is heading in the wrong direction and the time has come for a change in governance and leadership.

Additionally, he said not enough is being done to improve the life of the ordinary Jamaican.
