More than 42,000 students were registered to sit the exams.
The results were announced at a media briefing at the Ministry of Education Friday morning.

Students who ranked under 'Beginning' received grades in the range of zero to 24 per cent.
'Developing' students received grades from 25 to 40 per cent, while students who received from 50 to 79 per cent were scored as 'Proficient' and those grades from 80 to 100 per cent were ranked 'Highly Proficient'.
The ministry has placed 100 per cent of the students in full secondary level institutions, 94 per cent of students have been placed in schools of their choice, while 84 per cent of students on PATH have been placed in schools of their choice.
The results are available to schools registered for online platforms.
Schools which have not registered to access the results online, can collect them by 2 o'clock Friday at regional offices.
