Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness is pushing back against what he terms as disinformation about the achievements of his administration.

He urged Jamaicans to use discernment as he addressed the handover ceremony for Perth Estate Phase 2 in Mandeville, Manchester on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Holness lamented that there are narratives to suggest that the government's policies are unattainable.

But he insisted that "not everything that is published, not everything that is written, not everything that is carried by gossip and rumors, should be believed".

"Information is like food," he reasoned, as he urged Jamaicans: "Be careful what you feed your mind. Be careful where you get your information. Read with discernment."

Dr. Holness maintained that despite other suggestions, "Jamaica is an economically stronger country than it has ever been since our independence."

On Wednesday, the keys to 144 housing units were handed over to new homeowners. Additionally, 301 serviced lots were handed over.
