The opposition People's National Party is calling for the release of the results of air quality tests conducted at Kingston Public Hospital.
The call follows disruptions at the hospital on the weekend due to treatment of mould.
Fumes from the chemical used to treat the mould were circulated in the air conditioning system which resulted in complaints from staff and forced the temporary relocation of some services.
The management of KPH had indicated that the National Public Health Laboratory conducted air quality tests and the results confirmed on May 3 that the space is safe for occupation
General Secretary of the PNP Dr Dayton Campbell, speaking Monday on Radio Jamaica's Beyond the Headlines, called for full disclosure on the circumstances surrounding the treatment and subsequent disruption of services.
He also expressed concern that the situation at KPH could mirror that of Cornwall Regional Hospital which is undergoing a multi-billion dollar renovation, which started as treatment for mould.
