The People's National Party has expressed concern about the sluggish restoration of essential services in St Ann following extensive damage to agriculture in the parish during the passage of Hurricane Beryl.
PNP caretaker for South East St. Ann, Dr Kenneth Russell, says the hurricane wreaked havoc on the vegetable belt in the parish.
He says tree crops also suffered significant damage throughout the constituency.
Dr Russell says this will affect not only the availability of produce for this year but also the years to come.
Farmers across the parish have also faced substantial losses in livestock, including chickens and goats.
Dr. Russell is also calling for an urgent review of the hurricane's impact, including the absence of electricity on the cannabis industry.
