PNP retains Cedar Valley, Morant Bay divisions after official count

The outcome of the final counting of ballots in the Cedar Valley division of the St. Thomas Municipal Corporation has seen the People's National Party's Marsha Francis retaining councillorship of the division over the Jamaica Labour Party's Kerry Francis.

A total of 300 ballots were rejected, reportedly because they were improperly marked.

This affected the numbers for both candidates, however, this did not affect the outcome of the PNP victory which was declared Monday night.

Marsha Francis retained the Cedar Valley division with 741 votes to Kerry Francis, who received 672 votes.
