The taxi operator who was captured on video hurling stones into a Jamaica Urban Transit Company bus along Hope Road in St Andrew has been charged with malicious destruction of property and dangerous driving.
Assistant Commissioner Gary McKenzie, commanding officer for the Public Safety & Traffic Enforcement Branch, confirmed the arrest Tuesday afternoon.
ACP McKenzie said the taxi driver was intercepted by the police during an operation to nab him.
The owner of the vehicle reported to the police on Monday.
He was questioned and released.
