The Kingston Eastern police say they are awaiting a report from the Jamaica Fire Brigade to determine the cause of Thursday's fire which claimed the life of 12-year-old Leah Hugh at her home in Rollington Town, St. Andrew.
Police say the fire occurred sometime before midday on Giltress Street.
Superintendent Tommie-Lee Chambers, head of the Kingston Eastern Police, said Leah's burnt body was found on a bed.
The house and its contents were destroyed.
