The police are maintaining a strong presence on the streets to ensure compliance with the lockdown rules.
Seven days of no movement, spanning three weeks, were announced by Prime Minister Andrew Holness last Thursday.
The first three days of the lockdown began on Sunday and will end on Wednesday morning.
Deputy Superintendent Dahlia Garrick, Communication Officer for the Jamaica Constabulary Force, said teams have heightened their presence in the Corporate Area and have set up "strategic checkpoints to ensure enforcement and compliance to the Disaster Risk Management Act."
Additionally, she said the police are giving special attention to breaches of the Road Traffic Act "because we are seeing in recent weeks where a lot of the fatal accidents have occurred during the curfew hours."
