The police have listed two men as persons of interest in Grants Pen, St. Andrew in connection with disturbances in the area.
It follows Wednesday's fiery protest against the fatal shooting of a man from the community during a police operation.
Assistant Commissioner Dr. Gary McKenzie, head of the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch, says the two men are among a group determined to create mayhem in the area.
"We know that a Dujan Walker, [otherwise called] 'Manaforty' and Busha, OC 'Bin Laden', these are two persons that are trying to create mayhem. We are saying to these men that you need to report to the Constant Spring Police Station immediately. As we continue to ensure that we secure the citizens, we will be in the area and we will ensure that persons who live and are passing through that area, that they are safe. We will continue to ensure that we carry out our responsibilities as a police force as we aim to ensure that the society is safe," said ACP McKenzie.
Jadean Gooden, otherwise called 'Six', was shot dead during a police operation around 4 a.m. Wednesday.
A firearm was reportedly seized in the operation.
Residents of Grants Pen used burning debris to block sections of Grants Pen Road, Grants Pen Drive, Allerdyce Drive and Shortwood Lane.
The police say calm has since been restored to the area.
