The Police High Command is moving to tighten controls over portable radios which have been issued to members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
In this week's issue of the Force Orders, Commanding Officers have been directed to conduct an audit of all portable radios in their Divisions.
They have been told to present a report to the Senior Superintendent in charge of the Telecommunication Division.
July 4 is the cut off date for the information to be handed in.
The High Command says radios that are not accounted for will be unable to access the network after that date.
