Police searching for gunmen behind Montego Bay shooting

The St. James police are conducting operations in Gully and Glendevon in search of the gunmen behind Wednesday's deadly attack in downtown Montego Bay.

A senior investigator told Radio Jamaica News that the cops are trying to prevent reprisal attacks.

He said the 10-year-old child who was shot in the head remains in hospital in critical condition.

Three men were killed when gunmen carried out an attack at the intersection of McCatty and Hart Street.

They have been identified as 27-year-old Leon Brown, 20-year-old Rashard Watson and 18-year-old Robert Headley.

Seven people were shot and injured.

The police say the incident involved rival gang members.
