The Kingston Western Police on Wednesday seized two illegal firearms during an operation in search of wanted fugitives within the division.
The Denham Town Police say they carried out a snap operation along Victoria Avenue Wednesday morning in search of Anthony Williams, otherwise called 'Pops', who is wanted for escaping custody. He is also a suspect in a case of shooting.
During the operation, a Taurus 9mm pistol with a magazine containing three live rounds was found at a property concealed inside an old refrigerator.
A second premises along Albert Street was also searched and another illegal firearm seized.
No one was arrested in connection with the seizures.
The Denham Town CIB is urging Williams, along with persons of interest listed as Oshane Barnes, otherwise called 'Bapo', and three men known only as 'Tikka', 'Ray Jay' and 'Flour' to surrender to the police by 6 p.m. Thursday.
