The jury in the Mario Deane trial is expected to retire Thursday to consider its verdict.
The four men and three women will have to reach a unanimous verdict to either convict or acquit the three cops charged in relation to Deane's death.
The three accused, Corporal Elaine Stewart as well as District Constables Marlon Grant and Juliana Clevon, are charged with manslaughter and misconduct in a public office. Corporal Stewart also faces an additional charge of intent to pervert the course of justice.
The judge wrapped up his summation and instruction to the jurors on Wednesday, providing guidance in law to the jury.
Mario Deane died on August 6, 2014, three days after he was beaten while in custody at the Barnett Street Police lock-up in St. James.
