Popular dancehall entertainer, Popcaan pleaded guilty and was fined for several breaches of the Road Traffic Act when he appeared before the St. Thomas Traffic Court on Thursday morning.
The entertainer, whose given name is Andre Sutherland, was fined a total of $10,000 for driving without insurance or fitness, driving without a helmet, and driving an unlicensed motorcycle.
Popcaan was admonished and discharged on the charge of no fixed registration plate.
A bench warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to appear in court in September, however, it was stayed after the court was informed that he was off the island.
Popcaan was arrested and charged on April 25 after he was seen on River Road in the community of Bath driving a motorcycle in a careless manner.
