Quarterly Road Patching Programme to begin next month

The Government plans to start work uder a $1.5 billion Quarterly Road Patching Programme next month.
 
The programme is intended to dovetail with existing initiatives to improve road conditions across the island.
 
Minister with responsibility for Works, Robert Morgan, in a statement released to the media, said the initiative will target "main thoroughfares and high trafficked corridors, community and parish roads in need of urgent repair (and) damage-prone roads, affected by recent rains."  
 
Mr Morgan says the work will be done in phases in order to ensure efficiency and maximise impact.
