The Meteorological Service has discontinued the Flash Flood Watch for low-lying and flood-prone areas of St. Mary, Portland, St. Catherine, Clarendon and Manchester.
The Met Service says, although the Broad Trough remains across the central and western Caribbean, including Jamaica, data indicate that light to moderate showers and thunderstorms have been affecting most of the island, particularly northeastern and south-central parishes.
The forecast is for mostly cloudy conditions with lingering showers across northern parishes.
Widely scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected across southern parishes and hilly areas during the afternoon.
