The National Works Agency (NWA) will be continuing its
road rehabilitation exercise, Saturday, with the closure of the roadway at the
intersection of Trinidad Terrace and Knutsford
Boulevard in New Kingston.
Motorists are being advised to use the alternative routes which are Barbados Avenue and Dominica Drive.
Communications Manager at the NWA Stephen Shaw said the works form part of the agency's Corporate Area Road Improvement Project which operates at a cost of $60 million Jamaican.
Mr. Shaw said the upgrading work to be carried out at the Trinidad Terrace/Knutsford Boulevard intersection is expected to be completed on Sunday.
Work taking place on Maxfield Avenue from Cargill Avenue to Hagley Park Road is also expected to be completed on Sunday.
In rural Jamaica, work has not yet started on the same scale.
Mr. Shaw said funds are already in place to begin repair works but the NWA is still putting together a programme.
