Residents of sections of Rockfort in East Kingston say they are fearful of reprisal attacks following Thursday night's shooting along Rusden Road which left three people dead and four others nursing bullet wounds.
The deceased are 22-year-old Warren Benjamin, a fisherman of Adestra Road, Kingston 2; 19-year-old Raheem Walters, a construction worker of Belmont Road, Kingston; and an unidentified man believed to be in his mid-twenties.
It's reported that about 11 o'clock, the seven people were attending a party dubbed "Topless Thursdays" when armed men opened fire on the crowd.
Two women were among those shot.
Radio Jamaica News went to the community today and spoke with a resident who said the hoodlums were firing rifles and handguns.
He said the attack is believed to have stemmed from a previous shooting.
Radio Jamaica News was informed that the unidentified man is believed to be one of the attackers who was chased and fatally shot by unknown persons in retaliation.
Another man later turned up at hospital with bullet wounds and is under police guard.
The Major Investigation Division is probing the incident.
