Rwandan President Paul Kagame in Jamaica for three-day visit

Rwandan President Paul Kagame is now in Jamaica for a three-day State visit.
 
President Kagame arrived at Norman Manley International Airport shortly after 3:30 Wednesday afternoon.
 
He was met by Governor General Sir Patrick Allen, Prime Minister Andrew Holness, Opposition Leader Mark Golding and other officials.
 
Following his arrival, he went to the National Heroes Circle to lay a floral tribute at the monument of national hero Marcus Garvey.
 
On Wednesday evening, President Kagame will participate in the official launch of Jamaica 60 on the lawns of Jamaica House.
 
He is scheduled to address a joint sitting of the Jamaican Parliament on Thursday afternoon.
 
The visit is expected to deepen bilateral relations between Jamaica and Rwanda.
