Parents of students attending Seaforth High School in St.Thomas are upset over the decision to close the school's sixth form programme.
RJR News understand that there are discussions taking place between the school and the Ministry of Education to discontinue the programme.
Parents and residents had planned to protest, however Member of Parliament, James Robertson intervened and called for a meeting with the education ministry.
Robertson says while he's aware of talks to improve schools within that area, the closure of the sixth form was never discussed.
