The St. Andrew Central Police are investigating the Boxing Day murder of a security guard in Dallas Castle, St. Andrew.
Randy Evans, 39, who was employed to Quest Security Limited, was shot and his firearm stolen by a lone gunman.
It is reported that Mr. Evans, a resident of Tavern Drive in St. Andrew, was at a shop with a family member along the Dallas Castle main road when they were attacked by a man armed with a gun.
The man opened fire, hitting Mr. Evans several times.
The gunman then stole his loaded Glock semi-automatic pistol and a cellular phone before escaping on foot in the area.
The family escaped injury.
