Omar Collymore and his co-convicts will have to wait until next week Tuesday to know their fate.
On Thursday, Collymore's attorney Dianne Jobson requested more time to query aspects of her client's social enquiry report.
But during Thursday's proceedings, it was an impact statement by Collymore's daughter that captivated the court.
In the statement, read in court as part of the sentencing record, the teenager said her father took away the rock of their family.
She said, "I have been in therapy for about 10 times because I have bad dreams or thinking people are going to hurt me like you did to my mom."
She expressed appreciation for the mother figures in her life while also noting that she is trying to forgive her father.
The teen said: "I know we weren't close because you pushed me away because you loved my brother...selfishness. You killed my role model. Hope God help you find him."
Noting that while she is getting better, the teen said her brother is not showing any emotions, but deep down she knows he's hurting because his role model hurt his mom.
Highlighting that her paternal grandparents have not been in touch nor asked about their wellbeing, she said, "Your family gave up on us."
Before closing the letter, the teen said she's hoping that Collymore while listening to her statement will have a bitter feeling in his heart and think about what they continue to endure and the type of father he is.
Seemingly unsettled by his daughter's statement, Collymore mumbled to himself before speaking with his attorney.
Collymore was convicted on May 15, for orchestrating the 2018 murder of his wife Simone and her taxi driver Winston Walters and conspiracy to murder.
Michael Adams and Dwayne Pink were also found guilty of two counts of murder and one count of conspiracy, while Shaquilla Edwards was found guilty of conspiracy.
Prosecutors say Collymore killed his wife to collect the insurance money.
Sentencing has been rescheduled for July 16.
