Seventeen Members of Parliament will be taking their seats inside Gordon House for the first time, when the new parliamentary term gets under way in another few weeks.
Of the newcomers, four are from the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) and 13 from the People's National Party (PNP).
Six of the new MPs are women, including former US ambassador now MP-elect for Manchester North Eastern Audrey Marks and MP-elect for St. James Southern Nekeisha Burchell.
The new MPs are not expected to be thrown into the deep end, but will be given the opportunity to participate in an orientation exercise aimed at sensitising neophytes to the rudiments of parliamentary practice.
