Skeletal remains of Clarendon fisherman found

By Kimone Witter

The Clarendon police are investigating whether the murder of a taxi operator in Rocky Point on January 21 is linked to the death of a fisherman whose skeletal remains were found at the Jackson Bay Beach in Portland Cottage on Sunday.

Thirty-year-old Andre Mullings, otherwise called 'Speckles', of Shearers Heights, Portland Cottage, was last seen boarding a taxi in Rocky Point on January 11.

On Sunday, members of the community were conducting searches along Jackson Bay Beach when they stumbled upon the skeletal remains clad in the same clothing Mr. Mullings was wearing on the day he went missing.

The police suspect that 38-year-old taxi operator Aubrey Robertson, otherwise called 'Rambo', was killed as it was his vehicle that Mr. Mullings had boarded.

Mr. Robertson was found with his throat slashed outside a bar in Rocky Point, ten days after Mr. Mullings went missing.

Mr. Mullings was reportedly a person of interest and had been targeted on several police intelligence-led operations on allegations that he was involved in criminal activities.
