St. Ann mechanic charged for shooting brother

A St. Ann-based mechanic, who is accused of shooting his brother during a domestic dispute, has been charged.
 
Wesley Martin, a 39-year-old resident of Milford Road, Ocho Rios, has been charged with wounding and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
 
Investigators reported that on May 26, this year, Martin and his older brother had a dispute at their family home.
 
During the dispute, it's alleged that he pulled a gun and opened fire on his 42-year-old brother.
 
He then fled the community and eluded the police until his recent capture.
 
The brother, who was shot in the hand, was treated at hospital.
 
Martin is booked to appear in court next week.
