A resident of Adelphi, St. James

A man died in a house fire in Adelphi, St. James on Monday.
He is 53-year-old Carl Scott, also known as 'Jah Jah'.
Residents of Blytheston reported seeing fire coming from Mr. Scott's house sometime after 11 p.m. and called the fire department.
His remains and those of his dog were found during cooling down operations.
One resident said Mr. Scott will be remembered for being jovial.
"Jah Jah is a man like this, him nuh serious yow, him just git up and deal wid him ting, drink him rum. You see when Bounty music dem start play out yah suh, di whole stage a fi Jah Jah," he recalled.
