St. James woman accused of leading criminal gang remanded

 
A 33-year-old woman who is accused of being the leader of a criminal gang in St. James was remanded when she appeared in court on Monday. 
 
Shamaralee Forrester, also called 'Toots', of Rose Heights in Montego Bay, appeared before the Western Regional Gun Court on charges of unauthorised possession of ammunition. 
 
She was remanded until November 13. 
 
Five other men jointly charged with her are scheduled to appear before the Western Regional Gun Court next Tuesday on charges of
robbery with aggravation and unauthorised possession of ammunition. 
 
They are accused of being part of a syndicate that had been targeting Chinese-operated businesses in St. James.
