St. Lucia has announced an extension of protocols to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The government, in a statement on Monday, said the protocols will remain in effect until May 30.
It said over the past week it had registered an increase in the number of active cases, and in its latest bulletin on Sunday, the Ministry of Health said 24 new cases were confirmed from a batch of 142 samples.
It said a COVID-19 related death had been confirmed, increasing the total number of fatalities to 76.
