Jamaica's Net International Reserves (which measure the difference between its foreign assets and foreign liabilities) climbed by US$36 million to US$5.84 billion as at the end of June, compared with the previous month.
This was largely due to a US$23.6 million increase in the country's foreign assets to $5.86 million in June, compared with May, and the steep drop in the country's foreign liabilities to US$29.2 million in June, down from $41.6 million in May.
The current NIR is equivalent to 48.6 weeks of goods imports.
