Staff of Administrator General's Department, downtown Kingston return to work

Employees of the Administrator General's Department in downtown Kingston will resume duties today under a Flexi-Work Arrangement.

This follows two days of protest over what the workers described as hazardous environmental conditions on the compound.

The Jamaica Civil Service Association and the Administrator General's Department reached a back to work agreement during a conciliation meeting at the Ministry of Labour & Social Security.

Techa Clarke-Griffiths, President of the JCSA,  revealed that both parties agreed to have local level discussions to address concerns specific to workers at the Department.

She said a follow-up conciliation meeting will take place next month at the Ministry of Labour & Social Security.

Mrs Clarke-Griffiths reaffirmed the Union's commitment to protecting the rights of its members while promoting open dialogue and peaceful resolution of disputes.
