State Minister Franklyn Witter, driver escape serious injury in Manchester crash

State Minister for Agriculture Franklyn Witter, and his driver escaped serious injuries when the vehicle in which they were travelling, crashed along the southern coastal highway in Porus, Manchester, on Wednesday night.
 
Reports are that the driver of Mr. Witter's vehicle attempted to overtake a truck as both vehicles approached a section of the roadway.
 
It's understood that the vehicle collided with the truck, overturned and skidded before coming to a stop.
 
The police further added that both Mr. Witter and his driver, who complained of chest and neck pains, were treated at hospital and released.
 
The highway which is still undergoing finishing touches is scheduled to be opened at the end of this month.
