Taiwan says it will provide US$200,000 in donations to assist St. Vincent & the Grenadines after the country was hit by Hurricane Beryl on Monday.
The Taiwan Embassy in Kingstown says the country is ready to offer an emergency relief grant as humanitarian aid for the recovery and reconstruction efforts.
The statement said President Lai Ching-te had reaffirmed Taiwan's friendship and solidarity with St. Vincent and the Grenadines during this challenging time, as well as prayers for a swift recovery.
The hurricane left at least two people dead and wide spread damage to buildings in the islands, especially in the Southern Grenadines.
