Teachers from the Social Studies Department at Clan Carthy High School on Deanery Road, in St. Andrew are expected to resume duties on Thursday.
The teachers staged a sit-in yesterday after claiming they have been victims of theft at the hands of students.
They also protested outside the school's gate.
RJR News was informed that the police intervened yesterday and some of the students suspected to have been involved in the theft were questioned.
One teacher, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the problem has been ongoing with money and cellphones stolen from their bags.The teacher said the latest incident on Tuesday afternoon led to the protest.
RJR News was told that the Preparation Room for Social Studies teachers was broken into and over $20,000 stolen from the bags of six teachers.
