Both major telecommunications providers have pledged to halt all penalties that would accrue to customers following the passage of Hurricane Beryl.
Vice President and General Manager of Flow Stephen Price says customers will not be penalised for outstanding amounts.
"In fairness to our customers, we have to give back. As long as you have been out of service, consider yourself that you will have a rebate regardless of what the terms and conditions say. We are giving everybody back the money that they've been out for," he said.
Meanwhile, Communications Manager at Digicel, Elon Parkinson, says the company will be reaching out to customers to offer a rebate for the time lost and has suspended late fees to accommodate customers who have been having challenges paying their bills.
