Three job scam artistes to appear in court

Three persons who were earlier this year charged in connection with a multi-million dollar employment racket are scheduled to make another appearance in court Monday.

Michael McGowan, Kerry Ann Reid and Cameil Richards are accused of defrauding more than a hundred women seeking jobs in the United States.

They pleaded not guilty when they appeared before the Corporate Area Court on July 24.

During the hearing scores of women packed into the Court demanding the return of their money.

McGowan, Reid and Richards were charged on July 9, after several women who paid over money to the Visa Employment Services for jobs in the US, failed to get work.

More than US$1 million was reportedly collected from the victims.
