Three St. James wanted men now in police custody

Radio Jamaica News has been informed that three of the ten men placed on the St. James police most wanted list are now in custody.
 
The men surrendered to the police on Wednesday.
 
Warrants were issued for the suspects in connection with shootings in St. James.
 
The St. James police on Wednesday launched an operation, code named "Operation Storm", targeting gangs and men wanted for various crimes in the parish.  
 
Four men were arrested on the first day of the operation.
 
They are expected to be questioned about their possible involvement in gang activities.
 
Deputy Superintendent Linroy Edwards, head of Operations for the St. James Police, said under the anti-crime initiative, the police will be paying close attention to communities where gang members are seeking refuge.
