The owner of one of the trucks that were set ablaze
The Spanish Town Police in St Catherine are investigating a case of arson in the community of Greendale after three trucks were set on fire early Saturday morning.
Residents captured a suspect and handed him over to the police.
One of the trucks was destroyed, while two were damaged. It is believed that the fires were started using trash from garbage bins.
The perpetrator also attempted to set fire to a van, but was unsuccessful.
Residents reported hearing popping sounds sometime after 3 and found the trucks on fire at various locations.
