Sergeant Donovan Barnes and Mayor Norman Scott

Traffic will be diverted, starting Saturday evening along a section of the Spanish Town Bypass in St Catherine to facilitate pipe-laying as part of the construction of a commercial complex in the area.

The change will be in effect from 9:00 p.m., to to 5:00 a.m., Sunday.

Sergeant Donovan Barnes, Sub-officer in charge of traffic in Spanish Town,  explained that motorists will be diverted in the vicinity of the traffic signal at Dunbeholden road.

Mayor of Spanish Town Norman Scott told Radio Jamaica News that the pipe laying work is to facilitate water run-off from the commercial complex which is being built on a 30-acre plot of land that is prone to flooding.
