Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada is "not for sale" as US President Donald Trump insists the country would benefit from becoming the 51st US state.
The US President adds that Canada's opposition to his proposal will not impact Tuesday's discussions with Carney.
Mr. Carney navigated the meeting with diplomacy intact and avoided a dust-up in the Oval Office.
He will be hosting a press conference at the Canadian Embassy in Washington on Tuesday afternoon.
