A meeting is to be held next week between the management of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) and Transport Minister Daryl Vaz to address logistics issues with the buses.
It follows the addition of 100 new buses to the JUTC fleet.
The new CNG buses were handed over on Tuesday.
Mr. Vaz says the lengthy wait experienced by some commuters should be alleviated.
"Now that I have provided the hundred buses, I'm going to be holding the management accountable in relation to the allocation of the buses on the routes, because there should be no route that have an existing waiting time of more than 45 minutes and maximum an hour until we bring the next 100 buses," he said.
