US President Joe Biden
US President Joe Biden on Thursday issued an executive order that requires international air travellers to quarantine upon arrival in the United States.
Mr. Biden's order says air travellers must comply with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, including recommended periods of self-quarantine.
However, he did not explain how it will be enforced.
The new requirement is in addition to the rule which requires all travellers to the US to test negative for COVID-19.
The rule takes effect on January 26.
