Tropical Storm Rafael: Four shelters activated in three parishes

The National Emergency Operations Centre has activated four shelters in three parishes for people seeking refuge from Tropical Storm Rafael.
 
Richard Thompson, Acting Director General of the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM), says shelters were opened on Tuesday morning in St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland and Clarendon. 
 
"So we have the BB Coke High School in St. Elizabeth. We have Grange Hill Primary in Westmoreland and we have the Rocky Point Community Centre and the Drop-In Centre in Clarendon is open," he disclosed.
 
Mr. Thompson said there are about eight people at the Rocky Point Community Centre, three at Grange Hill Primary, four at the Drop-In Centre and at least one person at BB Coke.
