The forecast track for Tropical Depression Grace
A Tropical Storm Watch remains in effect for Jamaica as Tropical Depression Grace moves closer to the island while re-strengthening.
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 miles per hour, with higher gusts.
Grace is expected to regain tropical storm force by Tuesday.
Widespread showers and thunderstorms associated with the system will affect Jamaica starting late Monday and continuing through Tuesday.
Rainfall amounts could reach 100 to 150 millimetres, generating flash floods and possible landslides across the island.
Strong, gusty winds will also be experienced, primarily over northern parishes on Tuesday.
Sea conditions will gradually deteriorate over the next 24 to 36 hours, especially east and north of the island.
Marine interests are urged to exercise caution.
