ABC News says it has received confirmation from the Harris and Trump campaigns.
This will be the first showdown between the Republican and Democratic candidates.
At a rare news conference Thursday at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida, Mr. Trump recommitted to debating Vice President Kamala Harris.
At that time he had agreed to three dates in September.
He also said he has mostly recovered from the wound to his ear after an assassination attempt last month.
The US presidential election will be held on November 5.
