Two brothers convicted of shooting St. James political activist - sentenced

Two brothers who were convicted of  shooting a political activist and her son in St. James, two years ago, were each sentenced to 22 years in prison yesterday.
 
Oneil and Obrien Walters, who appeared before the Gun Court, were sentenced to 15 years behind bars for wounding with intent and 7 years for illegal possession of  a firearm and ammunition.
 
Prosecutors reported that on September 22, 2016, the brothers went on a shooting spree in St James.
 
They opened gunfire on persons in Norwood, injuring the woman and her son.
 
The men were also charged with the fatal shooting of  a man at a gas station in Glendevon.
 
They were acquitted in that case earlier this year.
