Two of the persons implicated in the February 18 fatal shooting of a security guard at a New Kingston nightclub have been charged.
Superintendent Michael Phipps, head of the Major Investigation Taskforce (MIT) told RJR News that charges were laid on the weekend.
Omar Mullings, who was named a person of interest, has been charged with murder, conspiracy to murder, as well as illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. Abigail Cherrington, who was an employee of the nightclub, is charged with murder and conspiracy to murder.
Howayne Sinclair, 28, was shot dead in the incident while a manager at the club was shot and injured in the neck. Mr. Sinclair and an employee of the club reportedly had a dispute. A few hours later, two men entered the establishment and opened fire on the guard, killing him. The gunmen then fled.
