Cassava Piece in St. Andrew was the scene of a double shooting on Monday.
Tyrone Wilson, a resident of the community, was killed and another man injured.
About 4 o'clock, Mr. Wilson and others were standing on Cassava Piece road when gunmen opened fire on them.
Mr. Wilson and another man were shot.
They were taken to hospital where Mr. Wilson was pronounced dead.
A senior officer told Radio Jamaica News that a dispute regarding a gun led to the shooting.
He said Sunday's triple shooting on Plum Lane, off Whitehall Avenue, was also a gun-related dispute.
