Two students die in Westmoreland crash

Two students died in a crash involving a motorcycle and a car on the Petersfield main road in Westmoreland on Tuesday morning.

The boys were students of Petersfield High School.

It's reported that sometime after 7:00 a.m., they were reportedly travelling on the motorcycle from Darliston enroute to the school when, on reaching the vicinity of the Petersfield clinic, the motorcycle collided with a car in the opposite lane.

The impact caused the car to burst into flames.

The boys received multiple injuries and died at the scene.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital.

This brings to three the number of students from Petersfield High who have died in traffic crashes in less than two weeks.
