The management of Caribbean Cement Company and the Union of Clerical Administrative and Supervisory Employees are reportedly close to signing a wage agreement.
The parties have been in negotiations for more than a year with the matter going before the Ministry of Labour last month.
Following the latest round of talks, UCASE President Vincent Morrison told Radio Jamaica News on Monday evening that the new offer from the company will be submitted to the workers on Tuesday.
He characterised the proposed settlement as "not a bad agreement," on in which "some new issues were agreed upon, going forward."
